Requesting and receiving taxi¶
A taxi clearance will name the holding point for your departure runway and the route to get there. Always read back the runway and any hold short instruction.

Holding Instructions (Mandatory Readback)¶
Per ICAO Doc 4444, the words ROGER and WILCO are NOT sufficient when you are told to hold. You must read back with "HOLDING" or "HOLDING SHORT".

Crossing a runway¶
Never enter or cross a runway until explicitly cleared. At RPLL, departures from 06/24 frequently cross runway 31.

CEB585: CEB585, runway 31 vacated.

Taking Off the Airport¶
IFR aircraft departing runway 06 or 24 will be instructed to maintain runway heading and climb 7000’ initially after departure. While for aircraft departing runway 13 or 31 will be instructed to maintain runway heading and climb 3000’.
If radar services are available, do not turn or climb further unless you are instructed to do so. If radar services are unavailable, you should only turn and climb further 3 minutes after you have departed.
If you wish to take an intersection departure, let the controller know since controllers will normally give you a full length departure.
Line up and wait¶
Being cleared to line up and wait means enter the runway and hold in position. It is NOT a take-off clearance.

Levels are flown in accordance with the semi-circular rule noted at the top of this page. Always read back any level clearance in full. Level, heading and speed instructions are safety critical and require a readback.
