Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Within Laguindingan CTR¶
General Procedures for VFR Flights¶
The following air traffic procedures shall apply to all VFR flights when entering, leaving, operating or transiting the vicinity of Laguindingan ATZ.
- All departing VFR flights shall maintain a listening watch on Laguindingan Tower frequency 122.6 MHZ until instructed to leave the frequency or to contact Laguindingan Approach frequency on 125.5 MHZ while operating within Laguindingan TMA.
- All arriving VFR flights shall establish contact and remain on listening watch with Laguindingan Approach frequency on 125.5 MHZ upon entering Laguindingan TMA or to establish two-way radio contact with Laguindingan Tower on frequency 122.6 MHZ, fifteen (15) NM inbound to the airport.
- Air traffic control instructions and traffic information shall be acknowledged and complied with.
- When operating within Laguindingan TMA, pilots of VFR aircraft are to confirm to the following altitude restrictions unless otherwise specified in the succeeding procedures or authorized by ATC:
- from five (5) NM up to ten (10) NM from Laguindingan ARP, not higher than 1500 FT; and
- from ten (10) NM up to fifteen (15) NM from Laguindingan ARP, not higher than 2500 FT.
- All VFR traffic shall secure approval from Laguindingan Control Tower before crossing the final approach of RWY 09/27.
- Any deviation from the procedures shall be subject to ATC approval.
VFR Departures¶
Southeast Bound: After airborne, make a right turn and fly towards East of ASIA BREWERY or proceed as instructed by ATC.
Southwest Bound: After airborne, make a right downwind departure. Fly over water following the shoreline towards West of MATANGAD or proceed as instructed by ATC.
North/Northeast/Northwest Bound: After airborne, make a left turn and fly towards northeast. Report 5 NM NE or proceed as instructed by ATC.
Southeast Bound: After airborne, make a left downwind departure. Fly over water following the shoreline towards East of ASIA BREWERY or proceed as instructed by ATC.
Southwest Bound: After airborne, make a left turn and fly over water following the shorelines towards West of MATANGAD or proceed as instructed by ATC.
North/Northeast/Northwest Bound: After airborne, make a right turn and fly northwest. Report 5 NM NW or proceed as instructed by ATC.
VFR Arrivals¶
From the East/Southeast: Report approaching CAGAYAN DE ORO PORT. Continue towards West of ASIA BREWERY. Request clearance to join right downwind RWY 09 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the South: Report ten (10) NM South. Proceed towards West of ASIA BREWERY. Request clearance to join right downwind RWY 09 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the West/Southwest: Report approaching MIDWAY BEACH. Follow the Butuan - Cagayan de Oro - Ilagan Road towards East of LIBERTAD. Request clearance to join right downwind RWY 09 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the North/Northwest/Northeast: Report ten (10) NM North. Proceed and report 5 NM N. Request clearance to join left downwind RWY 09 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the East/Southeast: Report approaching CAGAYAN DE ORO PORT. Continue towards West of ASIA BREWERY. Request clearance to join left downwind RWY 27 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the South: Report ten (10) NM South. Proceed towards West of ASIA BREWERY. Request clearance to join downwind RWY 27 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the West/Southwest: Report approaching MIDWAY BEACH. Follow the Butuan - Cagayan de Oro - Ilagan Road towards East of LIBERTAD. Request clearance to join left downwind RWY 27 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
From the North/Northwest/Northeast: Report ten (10) NM North. Proceed and report 5 NM N. Request clearance to join right downwind RWY 27 or proceed as instructed by ATC.
